Chemical leak detected in Malaysia Airlines MH2614 at Kota Kinabalu International Airport.

According to airport officials, Flight MH2614 has arrived from Kuala Lumpur and parked at the bay 5B.

As soon as the chemical leak was detected, it was informed to the airport fire and rescue services department.

The team has analyzed the chemical leak and identified it as an acid that leaking from the cargo section of aircraft, at the initial investigation process.

Later the acid test was done using pH paper. The chemical leak is identified as a corrosive substance and it called as UN2794 liquid-type acid.

All these leaks were cleaned by sulfur powder and collected to a separate waste absorption bucket.

During this identification and cleaning process, no other air crafts flying operations were disturbed.
